_fading identity

You're trying to be something you're not
you keep it up for as long as possible
but...not long enough
your new identity slowly fades
you can TRY to please me
with this alter ego
but i see right through it
just be yourself.
I understand if that's hard to do
but if you can't do that
then...this alter-ego will surely vanish
Be yourself
someone will accept the real you
even if its not me
someone will
just try & see
you cant please everyone
so just be happy
with your real identity
you can't change yourself
to be someone else
that's not what you were meant to be
Just be yourself
This new person you created won't last long
it'll just slowly fade along...
